My experience with code-free is that it's write-only. I had the misfortune of trying to support a database import to BI that was done in a visual platform, whose name I have thankfully forgotten. Trying to trace a single field to see how it was derived was nearly impossible, because you couldn't work backwards - and the instructions for this were kept in a blob that you had no visibility into. Code really is the best representation of a coding problem.
