Cloud-based programming is such a skill, esp. to support scalability, portability, and redundancy. This includes in-house back office and analytical apps as well as classic web services and infrastructure support. Many companies also have custom in-house code that needs to be modernized and better integrated due to ongoing changes in their business processes. In big companies most of the major apps are 3rd party/outsourced, but quite a bit is not, and much commercial code needs to be custom fitted, made backward compatible, or made compliant.
