Scrum isn't perfect but this is certainly not true. If the team is well-functioning there doesn't need to be a facilitator of any kind present. Sounds like OP is either in a bad team or with a bad Scrum master—or both.

- lillesvin 9y agoOnly if you misunderstand me. ;) What I meant was that Scrum doesn't dictate that there has to be a facilitator present but if your team isn't well-functioning it's probably a good idea to have one. I.e. if the Scrum master has done his job exceptionally well he's rarely needed.
