As much as companies are about money and profits, it's also where people spend about half their waking hours, so environment and culture are important. There are many ways to make suggestions and offer feedback that build trust and leave both people feeling better and more connected. Unfortunately in school we focus on getting the right answer, Wich is only half of what needed. Getting to the right answer in a way that makes everyone feel heard and respected is the key. As a developer, it's easy to go into programming more and get critical of the way something has been done, but it's easier on everyone if we switch that part off during human connection and find more understanding and patience and save the critical thinking for actual development or code reviews.
