As we get a lot of use out of Slack, I've created a bot which notifies people of incoming requests in Salesforce through Slack, based on a load score calculation. They can claim ownership directly in Slack or assign it to someone else (who in turn gets notified in DM by the bot). It has cut response time in half across the board.
