I think Yelp solves this problem fairly well actually. A lot of reviews of a restaurant will mention specific food items to either get or avoid. Yelp also has a tagging feature where if you click on a menu item mentioned in a review, it will bring up all the other reviews mentioning the food. Although, Yelp has a garbage mobile site and they aggressively force you to download their mobile app (you cant read full reviews without the mobile app) which has turned me off from using them. So I can see where you're coming from. Good luck!
