This doesn't matter, PoW (achieving consensus through mining power) is becoming obsolete.
Ethereum is moving to a PoW PoS hybrid (Casper) which uses a lot less energy and so are most of the new cryptocurrencies.
It's possible that bitcoin will soon, too.
- paulmd 8y agoI'm not aware of any cryptocurrency that has successfully implemented a decentralized PoS system. There have been a few that have "master keys" to sign blocks, however.
