I have a lot more in my bank and just bought a apartment in a pretty expensive area ( 30 years old) I'm in no way rich, but have no money troubles. I also saved a lot, worked a lot and lived with my parents pretty long

  You’re just proving his point. The opportunity cost of sacrificing so much for so long compared to not having to and being able to take big risks with a lot of potential upside.
