  Just FYI since you appear to be a new user: on Hacker News, writing comments like yours is considered bad form. You should instead just upvote the parent comment, that's the HN way of showing appreciation. The reason is that, at least in theory, every comment on HN should be adding value for people to read, and reading a bunch of "thanks" messages is just a waste of time. Much better to just have the original comment appearing higher because it got more votes.

      I'm not sure I understand? It wasn't my article, I'm just pointing out the site policy to someone who appears new so that they don't get downvoted in the future.
