I've used a separate container tab for facebook in firefox (nightly) for some time now, along with uMatrix, uBlock origin, and privacybadger. I downloaded my info from fb a few days ago, and was pleasantly surprised at how little info they had on me - they only have 2 advertisers with my contact info (email id). I click stuff on fb, but don't post, and occasionally have had message exchanges with friends.
