- bluGill 9y agoThe potato was first cultivated before 5000bc https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_potato https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_potato It wasn't in midevil Europe, but most fantasy is a whole new world so there is no reason to say potato shouldn't be in any novel.
