Most of the links at https://news.ycombinator.com/from?site=theregister.co.uk https://news.ycombinator.com/from?site=theregister.co.uk are dead for some reason.
- andybak 9y agoYes. I often disagree with it and they are often sensationalist and abrasive but I always enjoy reading it.
- jholman 9y agoYeah, I think "often disagree and often sensationalist" is a good assessment. For any given Reg article, I won't rule out that maybe the author is a nutter, but they're usually well-informed or interesting or amusing or some combination.
- nailer 9y agoYeah, I expect they know what they're talking about, and have an opinion which they'll make obvious - which I may not necessarily agree with. Sysadmin folks would know the term 'BofH' which got popularised by The Register.
- return1 9y agoyes, it s been there for ages adding some british humor to bland tech news.

- djsumdog 9y agoThey use shittier headlines now, but The Register is pretty old/established; like it's circa early 2000s / Slashdot era.
