- BRAlNlAC 9y agoThe same way I 'volunteered' for Selective Service in the US when I was 18.
- ProAm 9y agoNo, way different.
- stochastic_monk 9y agoYou can choose to not use the internet, but that's probably akin to choosing to living in another country to avoid registering for the secret service.

- mhneu 9y agoEh. We should want innovation - to "let a thousand flowers bloom". But when companies start getting so big they are a detriment to society in some way, we should regulate them. We let train and oil companies do their thing in the late 1800s - which helped society. And when they got too big and damaging in the early 1900s, we regulated them. We're on the same course again, I think.
- hsljekskfh 9y agocmon, you know what dark patterns are. you know that cigarettes are bad but people “volunteered” to buy them.
