No?
- mikejb 9y agoI have no knowledge in this area. What can contractors do (that employees can't)? I'm trying to come up with things, but my list starts and ends with "work for competitors".
- bko 9y agoOne thing like you mentioned is work for other companies simultaneously. If you are full time at apple you likely can’t moonlight at Microsoft. From my experience most Uber drivers also drive for lyft Another is relative flexibility in hours. I can’t not show up to work without notice and approval. As a contractor at a place like Uber I think you can work more or less asked on your availability although they may have some kind of minimums hours required to remain in good standing

- s2g 9y agoSet prices would be a big one.
- malandrew 9y agoThey do set prices, collectively. If they don't think the prevailing market price is worth their time, they choose not to work at that price and the market adjusts by raising prices if there aren't enough drivers to satisfy demand.
