I'm not sure if this would work, but what about hosting a node that you can manually add to your bootstrap list? Would that make getting the content quicker? Edit: Oh, amd why couldn't I just pin the top node of the dag recursively? Wouldn't that basically do what you want?

I tried that and it didn't help :/ I think there's a bug in fetching content, because I was requesting the files from a node connected directly to mine (which I knew had the files) but still could not retrieve them. Hopefully 0.4.14 will work a bit better. Wouldn't pinning the top node of the DAG pin everything? How would you restrict it to X GB?
