Applying those words to the Resident Evil sequels surely is some form of crime against humanity
- romwell 9y agoThe game was of no interest to me, but I enjoyed watching Milla Jovovich running around, and the slice-n-dice scene was pretty memorable. I was about to bring this movie up as a counter-example, but I guess the opinions on this are very much split.
- mipmap04 9y agoThe last entry into the franchise was abysmal. I shouldn't be this bored by a zombie movie!
- romwell 9y agoAh, that's the folly! I wasn't even really aware of the franchise (movie-wise). As with many other franchises, the follow-ups aren't worth watching. It's always refreshing to see movie directors make a great movie that has a potential for mediocre sequels, but not give in to that temptation (e.g. Matrix).
- robryan 9y agoFirst movie was pretty good, second was solid, then they went downhill from there. I didn’t hate the last one but that is definitely a case of coming in with very low expectations and having then slightly beaten.
- mozumder 9y agoI didn't apply them to the sequels. I applied them to the Paul W.S. Anderson movie. Directors pretty much define the quality of the movies, so it's more important to follow them instead of the franchise itself.
