Hetzner got in the news recently because they now offer a "cloud" product for VPS. Not in the sense like AWS where you can shut down instances and pay less but in the sense that you can buy, provision, and delete VPS via an API and pay per hour. They are also dirt cheap and offer 20 TB egress traffic with even their cheapest VPS. How they do it? I don't know. They are using Xeon processors and not i7 like some others.
