AV1 (and thus AVIF) appears to be designed for screens (works in YUV color space). If you want to print, PDF is probably still your best bet.

- paulkerr 9y agoAV1 can also encode RGB color space. Such usage would probably be more prevalent in the still image use case.
- ComputerGuru 9y agoActually I munged two issues. CMYK is for print but DPI is for retina images.
