It's aimed at teaching programming to 10 year olds no prior experience. One of the first examples is implementing RSA.
- thedirt0115 9y agoImplementing a cryptosystem is one of the first things for 10 year olds with no prior programming experience???? That seems intense compared to Scratch, etc.
- jandrese 9y agoThe math is pretty straightforward. I assume they aren't implementing all of the surrounding logic that makes crypto such a bear.
- thedirt0115 9y agoI don’t mean so much that it’s super difficult, I’m just imagining that 10-year-olds would rather be making pictures move around on the screen over doing a math thing that they might not yet understand the importance of. I could be wrong, it’s been quite a while since I was 10 :) I was trying to imagine 10-year-old me reading that section about RSA in the thing they linked to.
