what was your rationale for 1.8? just curious.
- _eht 9y agoIt's pretty common to have more than one instance dedicated to handling http requests whether it proxy, or call and response from a web app. I would personally set the average to 3 from my particular viewpoint.
- Retr0spectrum 9y agoSure, but 1.8 is oddly specific.
- jasonjayr 9y agoIt was an arbitrary estimate. Most would license a single server, but probably a sizable portion who would license it would have a fleet of more than 1. Mentally, I was thinking of a distribution like this: ($percent_of_users * $usercount) * $license_count, so: (.8 * 1500) * 1 + (.10 * 1500) * 2 + (.05 * 1500) * 4 + (.03* 1500) * 8 + (.02 * 1500) * 16 As it turns out, that sums up to 2640 -- which is not far off my estimate of 1.8 * 1500 = 2700. :)
