What do people think of the admission by Sam that he uses cannabis to help sleep, and thus uses cannabis in general? I have no problem with it, but it's interesting to see high profile people in business become more open and on the record about their usage.
- ironjunkie 8y agoAbout time to remove the non political correctness about this subject.
- s_dev 8y agoMy jaw opened he mentioned it so casually. At the same time I'm not surprised. The news is definitely that he said it not that he does it.
- neilsimp1 8y agoTo me, sleeping pills sounds more controversial than a little bit of cannabis.
- cynusx 8y agoI don't see why he doesn't use first-generation anti-histamines instead. They are not sleeping pills and not controversial, they just make you sleepy.
- subway 8y agoFor the most part in the US, over the counter sleeping pills are first-generation anti-histamines. Good ol Benadryl.
- dcx 8y agoIsn't long-term use of antihistamines linked to increased risk of dementia? Example writeup - https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/common-anticholinergic-drugs-like-benadryl-linked-increased-dementia-risk-201501287667 https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/common-anticholinergic-d...
- ndh2 8y agoI really, really don't care. To each his own.
- southphillyman 8y agoHa, it's legal in his state, he used the scientific name, and implied that he uses for medical purposes. Then he gave a disclaimer that he doesn't think others should use if they don't suffer from a similar condition. That being said even with the caveats....I was surprised by the admission.
- mlvljr 8y ago"high profile people" is that a pun? :)
