Not so well for small amount donations, in case you forgot the recent controversy surrounding Patreon. Also, I think it's better not to depend on a single company for such transactions (remember PayPal, and it's awful censorship?). Plus, I believe cryptocurrencies offer much better liquidity once you start to use any cryptocurrency.
