I don't see these people as 'nearly falling off'.
I see these as people who don't want to have the value of their homes fall even one cent because 'we got here on our own hard work'.
- rossdavidh 9y agoCertainly, but that was no doubt true before it became an immigrant community. First generation immigrants are more likely to have experienced a very different level of wealth earlier in their life, which makes one's attitude towards the possibility of losing it different than if you were born into that class and society and had always been there. But, I could be wrong.
