looks like that NOOBS card doesn't perform well at all

  It's better than the no-name cards, and even slightly faster than some of the secondary-brand cards (Transcend, PNY, Sony, Kingston, Toshiba). It's not a terrible choice for a starter card, but you can get the Evo+ cheaper for the same capacity, if you can stand to flash it yourself :)
