Yeah, ease of use really isn't a problem at all. Bitcoin and bittorrent are the prime examples of that. But it's not exactly about the costs either, but rather about incentives. Right incentives can drive funding into adoption of the technology. I mean people being able to profit from other people using the technology is what can bring funding, promotion of the technology and adoption.
