RECOVER - worst named command ever. It (AFAIR) was designed to recover data from a failing drive. The way it did this was to turn every disk sector into an individual file or similar. Thus rendering the drive unbootable and in practice had the opposite effect from its name. Shortly after I took out the 20Mb HDD on my dad's work pc with RECOVER he bought me my own little home computer to wreck instead :)
