I did. I'm very aware that lately more and more posts on HN have the same depth as main stream news (what the article is about). But what I like about HN is that the comment section is full of insight about the subject sometimes even debunking the article that was posted. So yes.

I didn't mean to offend you, in fact, I am trying to consume less 'news' myself since a few years. And while I agree that the HN comments hold a lot of high quality information, I see that HN, in general, has a similar effect on my concentration and productivity as other news/media sites. So I don't try to not read HN at all, but to become aware of the effect it has on me and limit my news consumption to a healthy dose ;-)
