Kind of strange, reading that on a news site, pretty much telling you to stop using their site.
- swiley 9y agoOne of the reasons I haven't blocked hackernews with /etc/hosts is because of it's noprocrast feature. Most of these sites know they're potentially harmful, the better ones acknowledge it and help their readers avoid the harm.
- hyper_reality 9y agoI think the piece was aiming for maximum irony. Also note: "In a 2001 study two scholars in Canada (LINK) showed that comprehension declines as the number of hyperlinks in a document increases."
- jessaustin 9y agoIn the courts, an admission against the witness's own interest is considered more reliable than other testimony.
