Five Facebook Alternatives for Those Who Are Looking to Switch
- latexr 8y agoThis article is speaking to a single person (the reader), trying to convince them to switch to any of a few unknown (by their own admission) social networks. That has no value as a true Facebook alternative. For it to be a real alternative you need to switch with your friends, not alone. I remember reading an article a few years ago about a talk the author had with his young daughter. I think it was shortly after Google+ was unveiled and the topic was social media. I don’t recall much from the conversation, but what stuck is that at one point the author’s daughter said something like “social isn’t a feature (app?). Social is where people are”.
