This is my experience in Sweden as well. The only people I've heard complaining about the move away from cash are older generations (65+) — everyone else loves it. The e-krona initiative could solve the problem of allowing a cashless system while still giving control to the Riksbank [1].

- deletesweden 9y agoSo, the only people who are okay with it are younger people? Do they happen to be the ones who use smartphones instead of computers, listen to dubstep instead of music, and so on? The people who watch fucking Let's Plays? Oh well. One day we'll look back at that generation, laugh our asses off, and change the subject.
- callesgg 9y agoSounds cool. I have seen the software that the public sector buys and builds. It would seam like they go out of their way to get the worst software they could get. I have zero confidence in the public sectors capability of creating good technology.
