  He did, in reply to my question about whether it would ever happen. Now that it finally has, I'll be migrating over to EC2 shortly :-)

    What exactly makes you migrate to EC2? It doesn't look cheaper or more reliable than VPS from a solid provider. To be better positioned for rapid growth in the future?

      Primarily, the fact that Amazon really has its act together with respect to security. That silly HMAC canonicalization bug notwithstanding, they've made a whole lot of good design decisions. I currently use Linode. A year ago, I reported two vulnerabilities in their control panel to them, both elementary in nature, one of them with a PoC exploit. Last I checked, neither has been fixed.
