  It's not because of something Evan said, it's just a hunch based on looking at the compiler commits. Recent changes to [elm-compiler](https://github.com/elm-lang/elm-compiler https://github.com/elm-lang/elm-compiler) are of cosmetic character, so probably not many blockers left to do before the alpha. Some docs might need rewriting (https://github.com/elm-lang/elm-compiler https://github.com/elm-lang/elm-compiler) but that might come between alpha and beta?
