Any last-ditch seed funding possibilities?

I'm in the wrong geography and have been trying to raise seed funding (I have a team) for a hardware project. Due to personal circumstances I don't have the budget to make a proper funding go of it raising the seed in California (where it would be easiest). We got only one term sheet for approx $15k. After I just read that DropBox failed completely to raise its seed round in Boston I am thinking of just giving up and wind things down. Do I have any last-ditch options for raising a seed round before I am in the correct geography to do so? Has anyone successfully navigated this situation?
