The charger should prevent this, but if it's not designed to fail-safe it could be contributing to the issue...
- jacquesm 9y agoAnd the battery circuitry should prevent this as well. So even if the charger is faulty there is supposed to be a thermal runaway protection circuit right on top of the battery itself that would cut the power to the battery before something catastrophic would happen. Also, the battery should be given some room to swell in the design.
