What seriously bugs me is that he uses object oriented programming as if it were the most natural, normal thing. Debugging an object oriented program is a nightmare because all the data and therefore the machine state is hidden, that's the idea. If I were to write a website in PHP, I'd use functional programming and certainly no framework. And I'm still scarred from the Autoloader in Perl. Never again!
