On the MacOS install page for TensorFlow, we have this goodie:
Note: As of version 1.2, TensorFlow no longer provides GPU support on macOS.
Will eGPU support help change that?

- steve_musk 9y agoProbably not, since Nvidia eGPUs are not currently supported by Apple. Although, it is possible to compile TensorFlow from source with CUDA support for macOS. You have to make a few tweaks to the source code and symlink some libraries.
