It is almost certainly a degraded battery - the 6 still has plenty of horsepower for iOS 11.
- simonh 9y agoActually I think you're right. I Geekbenched my phone when I upgraded to iOS 11 and thought it was a bit slow, but it checked out ok. I just did it now and it's 30% slower than it should be. At some point the battery must have degraded.
