- 3327 9y agowallstreet analysts don't know jack shit and come out with statements whenever the wind blows their way from the woodwork. Wallstreet is short Tesla, bonds are trading new lows... Goodluck - so basically you are shorting the guy that is landing fucking rockets back down on this planet? great thesis. I will take the other side of that bet.
- hueving 9y ago>I will take the other side of that bet The stock ticker is TSLA, all you have to do is load up. No need for chest thumping.
- Hydraulix989 9y agoI already bought in. "Overusing automation" is a new one.
- Hydraulix989 9y agoCheck the price now ;)
- jcranmer 9y agoWhat does landing rockets have to do with building cars?
- hndamien 9y agoWhat does it have to do with automation...? Quite a lot.
- aerovistae 9y agoLet's rephrase that: what does creating the world's finest space program in a mere decade and a half have to do with succeeding at profoundly difficult technological ventures where you have no prior experience? Quite a lot.
- soVeryTired 9y ago"He did this one hard thing, therefore he can do all hard things"?
- aerovistae 9y agoAh, so now SpaceX has been designated a "single achievement" (not a vast range of achievements over 16 years), and the singular "SpaceX" is apparently also the only thing Elon Musk has ever done. Is that what you're saying?
- csours 9y agoThe problem comes when Tesla has spent immense amounts of capital on automation AND is hand assembling. Disclaimer: I work for a Tesla competitor.
- Libturd 9y agoi think you mean humble brag. not even a good one.
- timcederman 9y ago"production bottlenecks" == issues with the automation. Their solution is then more use of manual and quick fixes during QA.
- skgoa 9y agothat's the ironic outcome of their misguided attempt to just throw automation at every step in the process. They have ended up with the least automated car factory in the world.
