The real question is whether or not they hire proportional to the number of black women that are looking for work in a specific role.
- jrs95 9y agoYeah. These comparisons to the general population make no sense in the context of a specific company. It makes much more sense to measure against the proportions of that part of the work force if what you're really trying to combat is workplace discrimination. But that's not what this is really about, it's about racial justice. It's about redistributing wealth and power from whites to everyone else in an attempt to create more equality across the board, not about "fair" hiring practices.
