The tolls in Illinois are ridiculous. I was heading up to Madison, WI and decided to take I-90 despite the fact that it had tolls. I figured that the gas saved would make up for the tolls. That turned out to be an expensive mistake. What an absolute racket.
- gok 9y agoOf all of Illinois’ goofy taxes I find the tolls pretty reasonable actually. Especially since electronic tolling gets a 50% discount and often allows you to avoid stopping or even slowing down to pay. Compared to SFBA bridge tolls it’s downright pleasant.
