Well they learned some lessons. But I wonder if AI will turn out to be more like security, in the sense that humans will never be able to build an AI that can not be exploited. It's possible that there will always be new vulnerabilities in AI software, and not just software bugs, which of course will always continue to exist, too, especially as most AIs are written in C++, but also vulnerabilities in algorithms.
