I was surprised to see that they track every app I open on my phone. Anyone know if that can be disabled?
- whoisjuan 9y agoSame here. WTF! That's some next level bullshit. How does even Apple allow that? They must be leveraging a phone API because it's tracking the name of the binary. So not only Google has access to this data but virtually any app installed in my phone.
- rusbus 9y agoAs a follow up, it's pretty easy to disable. Just click the blue slider on the site linked under app and web.
- crucialfelix 9y agoI find it devious that they bundle Web and App activity. I get value from tracking my Web activity on all devices. But tracking every time I click on app launcher, every app I use-this is creepy. You can't turn off app tracking separately
