It's like realizing that you are short... after decades of being told that the only reason you can't reach as high as most people is because you are lazy.
- petercooper 9y agoRecently diagnosed and this metaphor feels right to me. Indeed, it works the other way around, because I'm "short" I can fit into places others can't (and similarly, my "condition" gives me some extra powers others don't always have).
