Malaysia seeks 10 year-jail terms for 'fake news'
- ShadowFaxSam 9y agoI lived in Malaysia for a few months and I learned the local population is extremely skeptical of their government and there is not much trust. There have been many cases of massive corruption at the highest levels (like most governments). However this seems to be an attempt by the government to censor the people and stop any anti government propoganda. While the elimination of false content being shared is important, it cannot be done at the expense of freedom of expression.
