Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me. Or in this case, maybe it should be: First they came for the firearms, and I did not speak out— Because I did not like firearms Then they came for the sex workers and I did not speak out— Because I was not a sex worker (or used them) Then they came for something I cared about and there was no one left to speak for me. Thats the thing about the slippery slope. Restrictions start with things many people find objectionable and then slowly ratchet up to cover more mainstream things.
