Hey! Ghost(Pro) is targeted mainly at business users who want a solid managed service, but there's absolutely no downside to self-hosting. We don't do any feature-gating, so you get the same software no matter where you want to run it. Easiest way to get up and running on your own env. is with Digital Ocean, who have a 1-click image: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-set-up-the-digitalocean-ghost-one-click-application-for-ubuntu-16-04 https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-set-...
If you want to just test it out locally first, that's easy too

TLDR: npm install ghost-cli -g && ghost install local
- scrollaway 9y agoSince you're here I just want to say that I love the operation you guys run. Ghost is great, the pro service is great and the open source, transparent development of the engine itself as well as the company/foundation is fantastic. You guys are up there with Gitlab as a model of how open source businesses should work.
