Coming from NYT I am sure that any research that could be used to demonize their scapegoats will be front and center and fruitful/valid scientific avenues of investigation, whereas of course any research that could be used to hurt the victims of the world will just be racist/sexist drivel that should be censored from the face of the earth. I mean that is pretty much a literal reading of mainstream media these days. It's not uncomfortable to talk about race all day every day in these times didn't you know that?
