If we knew that, then we would know a lot more of the hidden variables of the current geopolitical state of play. Was the DNC hacking done for its own benefits to the hackers, or was it done as a move in a larger strategic game of indirection and manipulation? A false flag attack? A timebomb reveal set to sow chaos in the US political system after the fact? Was it the latter, but still goofed by good old human fallibility?
