Bullshit. Strong words to follow.
- lsc 16y agoeh, really, bankruptcy is the single most important "protection" - bankruptcy discourages banks from loaning to people who likely won't be able to pay off those loans, and it allows the high risk folks, the entrepreneurs, to have more than one go at things. Of course, student loans already subvert those protections, and really, compared to bankruptcy, I don't think the rest of the 'protect (dumb|trusting) people from (predatory banks|themselves)' laws are worth jack.
