The law is good for people.
“The internet” is not a member of society. It is “infrastructure”. If the law allows roads to be built in a way that systematically hurt people, you change the law.

- gnode 9y agoThe Internet can be colloquially interpreted to mean the community of Internet users. The isn't necessarily the same as society in general, and for the purpose of argument, it is useful to distinguish community that is specifically enabled by the Internet. To extend your road analogy, lawmakers can regulate roads in ways that uniquely harm the motoring community, in the name of protecting society at large.
- jasonlotito 9y agoIt's already made clear this law will hurt people. Also, the current law already allowed people to fight the abuses presented by this law. This will do far more damage.
